IGNOU CELEBRATED ‘INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY’ AT SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 21st June, 2016: IGNOU Regional Centre Siliguri celebrated ‘International Day of Yoga’ today at the Regional Centre premises. At the outset, Dr. Biswajit Bhowmik, Regional Director welcomed all the guests, students, Academic Counselors, Coordinators, and Assistant Coordinators of all IGNOU Study Centres under the Regional Centre. There were 60 participants in the programme. On this occasion, Prof. Raghunath Ghosh, was the ‘Chief Guest’. Acharya Kashiswarananda Avadhut, Former Chancellor, Ananda Marga Gurukul, Kolkata was the ‘Special Guest’. He delivered a lecture on ‘Yoga for All Round Development’. He also demonstrated various yogic asanas for a healthy living. At the end Mr. Ashoke Barua, Assistant Registrar, IGNOU proposed the vote of thanks.
